Cookie Policy

Last updated: 9 June 2025  ·  Evnto, Walthamstow, London

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what cookies we use on the Evnto platform, and your rights in relation to them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1 What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owner.

Cookies are either "session cookies" (which expire when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device until they expire or are deleted).

2 What cookies do we use?

We use a minimal number of cookies — only those that are strictly necessary for the platform to function. We do not use any cookies for advertising, tracking or analytics purposes.

Cookie name Type Purpose Expires
EVNTO_SESSION Strictly necessary Keeps you logged in to your Evnto account during a browsing session. Without this cookie, you would be logged out every time you navigate to a new page. When you close your browser (session cookie)
EVNTO_WIDGET Strictly necessary Maintains your logged-in session within the Evnto application widget when it is embedded on a third-party website (such as an event organiser's own site). This cookie is scoped to the widget only and cannot be used to access the main Evnto platform. When you close your browser (session cookie)
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we do not require your consent to set them under UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations). These cookies are essential to the operation of the Service and cannot be switched off.

3 Cookies we do not use

We do not use any of the following:

  • Analytics cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar or any other analytics tool that sets cookies on your device.
  • Advertising or tracking cookies — we do not use any third-party advertising or retargeting cookies (such as Facebook Pixel or Google Ads).
  • Persistent preference cookies — we do not store preferences (such as language or theme settings) in cookies.
  • Third-party cookies — no third party sets cookies on our platform on our behalf, with the exception of Stripe, which may set cookies on payment pages it hosts. Stripe's cookie use is governed by their own Privacy Policy.

4 Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies. Please be aware that blocking the session cookie listed above will prevent you from logging in to your Evnto account.

5 Changes to this policy

We will update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies we use or if requirements change. We will notify you of any material changes by displaying a notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (such as analytics), we will update this policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism before doing so.
